The A2D Anti-Hebbian spike encoder allocates more resolution to regions of higher data density. Each color represents a unique output spike ID. This is a standard “go to” auto encoder for real-valued signals and will efficiently produce a range of encoding resolutions with modest memory usage and very little computationally overhea. It can be used as a spike-encoder for partitioning (clustering), prediction, anomaly detection and more.
